Home Books began as a pop-up bookstore inside Ceramigos, a new community-oriented ceramics studio in South Austin.

Founded by Barbara Galletly Passmore with the generous support of Ceramigos founder Florence Guiraud, Home Books sells used books. What began as a few artist memoirs and books on color spiraled into a collection of pottery manuals and histories, poetry, and art theory and criticism. Some of them are new, others are quite old.

Our vision is of a beautiful, thoughtful bookselling project that connects our creative community through literature, with a focus on ceramics, artists, and art. Home Books, these books, are for the artists who come here - whether here is online or in Austin - to learn, to make, to be together.
